What we know about Multiplayer (Confirmed):
- Call of Duty Elite will be built into the core gameplay
- Security is a top priority for IW
- Post-launch updates are a priority for IW
- MW3 will build up from CoD4 and polish every aspect from MW2 (gameplay-wise)
- MW3 will focus on gun-on-gun fights, and less on air support
- There is no Stopping Power, Danger Close, Juggernaut, One Man Army, Commando, Last Stand or Tactical Nuke
- Quick Scoping will be in MW3
- The MW3 unlock system will be “unique” and will not use currency
- The killstreak system has been re-vamped
- Confirmed maps: Dome
- Weapon base damage will be increased to compensate the lack of Stopping Power perk
- Theatre Mode making a comeback
- XP, Match Bonuses and Challenges (etc) will be tweaked to enhance objective modes
Modern Warfare 3 is due out on November 8th, for Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3. | |

| I just hope its not the same old thing again with new maps. Thats pretty much what call of duty has been for all of its releases (and thats why its making a lot of money- its a formula that works) but its getting old. I may have to hop onto the BF3 wagon. |

| I hate how they are getting away from being anywhere close to realistic |

I completely agree. Modern Warfare did actually try to aim at realism which is what launched the franchise into a billion-dollar blockbuster. Since they got so big they can get away with stupid crap like kill streaks and stuff. |

| I don't think you can make an argument that quick scoping is not over powered. Someone who is good at quick scoping automatically wins almost every gun fight over any other gun. I hope they bring it back but make it so that a shot to the chest or head is a kill in one shot but anywhere else on the body it takes two. I also hope that the best sniper for quick scoping is the last gun you can unlock so people only have a limited time of using it before prestiging. That would even it out a bit. Also Reading some of the perks that won't be included already has me enticed. No last stand and I basically already like the game more then mw2 and BO. That is by far the worst thing in any call of duty game, like please knife me on your way down to last stand after I hit you with 4 bullets to the chest or instantly shoot me twice with a python from 15 feet away to get a revenge kill but then somehow get revived by a team mate so I don't even get a kill for it. Good riddance. | |
